You'll learn the basics of recording, editing, hosting, syndication, guest release/intake forms, and publicity. This module is a high-level, broad view of the podcasting process where you'll learn how all the following modules fit together. Subsequent modules will go into specifics.Module 2: Stereo-typical Podcasting (All Things Audio)It’s an audio podcast, so you might need some audio! You'll learn how to record an online interview (including the software and hardware you'll need) and how to edit your recorded audio. You'll learn about some editing software choices you can make, in case you want easier vs. more powerful options. You’ll learn how to create an intro/outro, plus where to find free commercially-licensed background music to use. And in case editing isn't your jam, you'll also learn an incredibly easy way to record and publish voice and music from a web browser without downloading a single file!Module 3: Share-a-palooza (Hosting and Distribution)You’ve created your podcast episode! So... now what? In this module you'll learn how to host and distribute your podcast, all for free! You'll learn how to set up a hosting account, an easy method of designing a cover image for your podcast (as well as how to create and use individual episode images), what syndication is and how it works, how to distribute your podcast to providers such as Apple, Google, Amazon, and Spotify, and how to analyze your podcast's performance.March 16: ...and the Kitchen Sink (Everything Else You Should Know!)Wait, you’re not done yet! In this module you'll learn how to write episode notes, how to wrangle guests using an automated online release and intake form, how to create effective publicity, and some tips for a successful launch.~﻿~~Whew!
